The Simple Approach to Shoulder Pain: Assessment and Treatment

This course is for any physiotherapist who is looking for a systematic and effective method of assessing and treating clients with shoulder pain.  Clients with shoulder pain are the third most common musculoskeletal condition presenting to physicians and physiotherapists in their office. It is a complex area to treat successfully and the evidence-based recommendations give us little guidance.  The Simple Approach to Shoulder Pain: Assessment and Treatment shows us how to take a thorough history, physical assessment, and guidelines for treatment including exercises and manual therapy techniques.  Classification of shoulder  pain will include Impingement syndromes (rotator cuff pathologies and postural dysfunction), Frozen shoulder, Instability, and Complex (trauma, labral tears, OA).

There will be examples of assessment and treatment, along with case studies for each type of shoulder classification illustrating exercise progression, taping, as well as various manual therapy treatments.

The cost will be $275 for an in-person course on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 8:30am – 4:30pm.  The clinic is located in Toronto.  At this point in time, masks will be mandatory for all participants.  This will be limited to 12 participants to facilitate manual therapy practice.
